最近睇左Jack Welch (former General Electric CEO)既一本書,叫"winning",講下佢工作既經歷,點樣打理間公司等等。有一段講finding the right job,有五個area可以睇份工係咪the right job for you,跟佢既指印我應該搵過另一份工~
PeopleGood if: u like the people a lot, u can relate to them, and u genuinely enjoy their company. In fact, whey even think & act like u do.
Be concerned if: u feel like u'll need to put on a persona at work. After a visit to the company, u find urself saying things like "i dun need to be friends with the people i work with".
OppotunityGood if: the job gives u the opportunity to grow as a person and a professional, n u get the feeling u will learn things there that u didn't even know u needed to learn.
Be concerned if: u're being hired as an expert, n upon arrival, u'll most likely be the smartest person in the room.
OptionsGood if: the job gives u a credential u can take with you, n is in a biz and industry with a future.
Be concerned if: the industry has peaked or has awful economics, and the compnay itself, for any number of reasons, will do litle to expand ur career options.
OwnershipGood if: u r taking the job 4 urself, or u know whom u r taking it for, n feel at peace with the bargain.
Be concerned if: u r taking the job for any number of other constituents, such as a spouse who wants u to travel less or the sixth-grade teacher who said u would never amount to anything.
Work contentGood if: the "stuff" of the job turns ur crank - u love the work, it feels fun n meaningful to u, and even touches sth primal in ur soul.
Be concerned if: the job feels like a job. In taking it, u say things like "this is just until sth better comes along", or "u can't beat the money"...
